I have a 2005 Super Duty with a 6.0. It won't start when it is warmed up. Will start cold in any temp, just won't restart after it has run awhile. Am i looking at the high pressure oil pump? Any help is appreciated!
Thank in advance, Brian
The not-guessing way would be to air test the HPO system. The most-common solution is standpipes and dummy plugs, since a bad seal on the dummy plugs seem to be the problem 90+% of the time. For $120 in parts doing the plugs would not be a waste, but the most-technically-correct method is air testing to pinpoint before throwing parts at it.
Realistically when you air test it with the valve covers off.... you're maybe 30 seconds of work away from just going ahead changing out the dummy plug, so even if you want to air test it first buy the parts kit and just do them. There's an upgraded teflon seal the factory parts didn't have, again, not a wasted parts update to just do.

I was reading the topic line on the main page and thought 05,06 or 07.
And it's an 07. I think in this case I would put the parts in and see how it does.
Just be sure to put fresh engine oil on the seals before you install them.
Dry seals going can cause issues.
