Been awhile since I have visited (busy summer) but time to act. My 2005 has had intermitent starting problems usualy when it set for about a week but hasn't set and had been starting fine. About a week ago the dreaded hard starting when hot started. Out of warrenty so going in my self any one got a complete list of parts that should be replaced for PM aside from the part/s that I find bad for this type of problem. I have heard ford has some revised parts such a dummy plugs and stand pipe etc. Another thing while cranking never see oil pressure dummy gauge move unless it starts can crank for 15 seconds and it does not move and when it does start (after setting) it takes a second before it pops to mid reading something I should be concerned about or is this also a symptom of a HPOP system leak?
Here are the parts I am thinking about on having on hand.
Oil cooler 15 degree spread oil\coolent temp
return sceen
STC replacement kit
IPR pig tail connector to energize IPR for air test
adapter for ICP port for air test
new stand pipes and or seals?
dummy plugs or seals
ICP pigtail
What else and part #'s would be very much appreciated
first remove oil filter and hold by-pass button down, crank engine to varify no base oil pressure concern is present. it will start and run at times i suspect that is going to be fine.
