I know I need new door seals, windshield seals and driver and passenger tracks or the windows replaced, so I am kinda used to the rattle my cab has, and know what I need to do to fix it.. However, I opened the rear window on my drive last night and really noticed the amount of rattle coming from the passenger side corner of the tailgate, at least that sound like where it is coming from. Sounds like the tailgate is not closed completely(Although it is) or the metal hinge that stops the tailgate from dropping is really loose. Any ideas as to what this may be? I saw a thread about tightening bolts and they seem tight and also a thread about zip tie a rubber hose around the tailgate arms, but the pictures did not come up to give me an idea as to how they did that.
I haven’t drove the truck yet but just by adding the round rubber stoppers it made a big difference.
i think a new set of rubber stoppers and such would be a good start. TWISTER234 , I have yet to mount my upper and lower trim, so I can at least eliminate that... for now.
SSSTang, do you have a link or guide me to where you found those rubber bits.
