Electrical Issues

It was a bad PCM, fuse box, & wiring harness. Replaced the PCM, fuse box, and the entire wiring through out the truck. I was told that it continued to have the same issues i was having with it, even after replacing everything with new parts. They drove it 10 miles and it died and would not start again. Another mechanic took a look at it, unplugged the 7-way plug in the bed for my gooseneck hitch, problem solved. Plug was installed by the dealer, but they put a Curt in 7-way in with my B&W hitch, and this is what they are saying caused the problem. Not sure if they are blowing smoke or telling the truth but that is what I was told.

Yeah, the 7-way “blade” connectors can be a problem. I gather that the circuit assignments to the blades are “fixed”, but there are two different color code assignments.
