Spent a few hours today installing the new brake booster & master cylinder. Now I need to research which end of the proportioning valve is for the front wheels.
I used the same brake system in both my builds..no problems with them..
That's good to know. My pedal was higher than I liked when I first installed... and there wasn't enough adjustment to move it where It felt correct. I ended up taking the pedal back out of the truck, applying heat and adjusting the pedal lever to the correct position. I hated doing that to the powder coat, but after I repainted, it looks good. Feels much better also.
I do find mine a little high too more so in my pickup because I can't but the seat back as far as I can in my panel..I'm used to it though, my highway driving and not on the brake so much...lol
Nice setup. How did u run the front brake line for the front from the master cylinder. That my next step and was wondering how u attached the front brake hose to the frame

The old flex hose used a nut that threaded onto the fitting that stuck through the frame. The new hose uses a clip that attaches to the fitting (see image). I have yet to run the brake lines from the master cylinder.
All the brake lines have been replaced and the air has been bled from the system! The lines from the master cylinder were very time consuming! I am glad that is behind me😀
That`s the same brake booster and master cylinder kit I used on my 53 resto rod. Where did you buy it and what did it cost? I got mine from Mid Fifties, it was $299 US funds but by the time I got in Canada with shipping ($175) it cost $550 Canadian, the exchange is about 35%.

I bought this from Mid Fifties also. I purchased with a front disk kit, It was around $850.00 for the kit.... not including shipping. The shipping was another $100, which seemed a bit excessive to me. (Correction: the brake Kit was $685.00)
