I am trying to find the correct part numbers for the upper door seals for my 1985 F150. LMC is great for seeing what part I am looking for its just super expensive once I convert to Canadian funds and pay for shipping. So I will use this LMC link to show you what I am looking at. It is number 2 or LMC part numbers 49-9346 and 49-9347. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories
Now I have found these Fairchild seals which are part number KF3064. I want to make sure these are the correct ones though because I see varying descriptions from different websites. https://fairchildindustries.com/item...it-ford-bronco
Thank you very much. That will be helpful for sure. I went ahead and ordered the seals from RockAuto. Hopefully it helps with wind noise a bit, it sure is loud when the wind hits it just right. My grandfather had a thick piece or rope glued on where that seal goes, which was removed when I repainted the truck of course. I now see why he did it haha.
Are your doors hanging right? I am missing seals on the driver's side and is hanging all funky. The gap is huge and can see right through to outside. Wind noise is horrible.

My doors seem to be hanging right. I had replaced the hinge pins. They aren't perfect as they do hang a bit lower at the rear of the door but its pretty close. I definitely can't see through to the outside. I also replaced the main door seal when it was repainted. I believe my wind noise is strictly coming from where the upper door seals should be since I have none.

I would not bet on the seal keeping the noise down.
Remember when these trucks were made I don't think wind noise was at the top of the list.
I thought that extra seal was added because with just the 1 seal was not enough to keep wind & water out at that leading edge of the door.
For decades, the biggest complaint from new vehicle owners was wind noise, and this included all vehicles, not just cars.
They may have made complaints but how long did it take before the rain gutters were removed and the glass both front and side went flush?
Was this the same time the vent windows went away?
Yes part of that was for more MPG because of less wind resistance but with it less noise.
Also look at mirrors, they are made to cut thru the air better for more MPG & less noise.
I have to say today I hope no one is buying our old P/U's for MPG and less wind noise LOL

A lot of things were redesigned to make assembly easier and reduce manufacturing costs. No vent windows, no cowl panels, no roof drip egge

I could be way off also

We will see if it helps or not I guess. I am hoping that it at least helps a bit. I can handle some wind noise but at times I was screaming at my passenger haha. It only happens when the wind is coming the right direction but I don't remember it ever being that loud before the truck was repainted. I wouldn't say my memory is the best either though so maybe it will do nothing. Definitely don't expect it to be like a new truck ever.
I have a pair of very good upper seals from the JY that I would like to reuse. The still have the pressure sensitive adhesive tape on them but of course won't stick to the doors anymore. What would be the best way to glue these back on? Get new tape (what type) or use a spray glue like Scotch 77 or whatever? Anyone done this previously?
Just thought I would give this thread a final update. Finally got around to installing the upper seals on the doors. Install is very straight forward as it is just peel and stick. I wasn't sure which direction they went at first so I referenced some pictures on another forum and then stuck them on. Hopefully they are the correct way. From what I can see they press up against the cab nicely when I close the door so it should do something. Unfortunately I haven't had time to take it for a drive yet. I just finished replacing my brake master cylinder before going back to work for 5 days now. Anyways, here is what the final product looks like.
