vacuum tree/number dummy

Looking for the aluminum vacuum tree in the back of my 400ci. Has four small ports and one 3/8" for the brake booster. Mine screws in too far. Some kind of sealant that wont shrink???

I use a sealant meant for gas connections. It comes in a stick from the local hardware store and works very well on threaded parts.

1977/79 F100/350 351M/400. No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Well Teflon tends to shrink as did the gas pipe sealant I used last time.

I have an aftermarket heat gauge sensor that screws into the manifold on my 390. With tube-type sealant it leaks. I wrapped a bunch of layers of teflon tape on the threads and it holds pressure. So far so good...two weeks now.
