hill descent control
looking to enable hill descent control on my 2011 F350. from what I have read, it seems to be as easy as adding the switch on the dash and enabling the feature with IDS or ForScan.
The problem I am running into is when I enable HDC with the ForScan tool, it automatically enables trailer brake control, which is not installed on this truck.
has anybody else done this?

Don’t have an answer, but if you haven’t actually added the hdc switch yet, maybe that’s confusing Forscan. Might work once the switch is installed.
For what it’s worth, you can pretty much do what hdc does by either using the tow/haul mode, or using the manual shift mode if you have it. I have hdc on my 2011, but have never used it.

found a good deal on a new trailer brake controller, so I added both to the truck over the weekend. installed new HDC switch on the dash, installed the trailer brake controller. I used the ForScan tool and enabled the TBC in the ABS module, this automatically enabled the HDC. I also had to enable the TBC in the instrument panel to allow the settings to show up in the setup menu.

hill descent control Forscan
I know this is an old post but I would like to add hill descent control to my 2011 F250 with Forscan and a new switch. Does anyone know the module address number and hex that has to be changed?
