Question Unknown dash connector

Can anyone tell me what this connector would go to? It lives behind the dash above the stereo.

Energize the big black wire and look for it in the rear under the bumper and see if it's hot there too, Not sure though why Ford would put it up inside the middle of the dash if it was for a trailer brake controller.

Ok, I'm thinking aftermarket controllers which mount under the dash typically behind the steering wheel. Never seen the factory unit.

Yes, brake controller, no clue why Ford located the plug there but that's where they are.

my 2007 doesn’t have that feature.
