1966 f100 heater hose connections

I searched but did not find any heater hose connections.

I have a 390 2bl and would be most appreciative of a pic of the heater hose connections. I will look at my manual tomorrow but I like to see a pic of the actual motor and the hoses connected.

Thanks for taking your time to do this.

I noticed the heater control valve is on the outside hose in Sortof's pic and its on the inside hose in Jolly's pic. Does it make a difference which hose it's in line with. Does it even make a difference which hose goes to the inside or outside connection on the heater core?? Just curious

The short answer is no. All you are doing is circulating coolant through the heater core. As long as it's connected, the heater works.
Here is how mine is routed, which I believe is as it was from the factory. There are some that will disagree.

C3UZ-18495-A .. Cable Controlled Heater Water Valve (Motorcraft YG-133).

This valve is spliced into the inlet to heater core heater hose. Pic of valve in post #6 shows this hose.

After I got out to the shop I looked at the pics that I printed out and saw the same thing that "66 With 352" saw. The hoses were connected two different ways. However I would thing that it would work either way. You are just controlling the water circulation. I did go to my Shop Manual Vol. 3/4, page16-2 shows the hose connections. This shows the cut off on the inlet hose coming from the manifold and connected to the left (as setting in the cab)side of the heater. The outlet is the coming from the water pump.
Thanks for all the comments and pictures. I really like to see pictures when I am working on things.

So this post got me curious about my 66 and it's heater. I looked in the engine bay and didn't see any valve like everyone else has posted about. Starting at the dash control, I followed the cable under the dash to a heater unit of some sort with the cable ending at a mechanical switch/valve of some sort. Was this something aftermarket? An upgrade or just different maybe?

The valve was only standard on the Deluxe Heater. Since yours is the Standard /Manual heater it did not have the valve. There was a manual valve avail.
The valve should go to the inboard side of heater core then to water pump. Outboard goes to fitting on intake.

as long as valve is on water pump side its fine. But the water pump side hose from factory went to the inboard side on core.

So are you saying mine is correct as the factory installed them?

Gotta be careful when green sales says they have them. when it shows you just may find a made in china part. Typical of them to forget to mention that.

I do have a NOS one still in FoMoCo box
