ok gurus ... on my 1949 f-4 it runs great all my gauges work as do the tail lights and parking lights ... my high beams work as well ....but I have no low beam lights?....... I have a brand new wiring harness....... so am I missing something simple?.......
could be the dimmer switch...,check for continuity there and voltage on the lo beam side of the switch., do you know for sure that the bulbs are good ??? back trace the wiring and look for at the grounds, although if the Hi beams are working the grounds are probably good
I 2nd that on the dimmer switch. Mine gets a little lazy now and then and I'll lose low beams or lose everything when I switch back and forth. Usually a few good cycles of it will restore operation.
Definitely check the grounds. Bad grounds account for approx. 90% or all electrical problems.
If its a brand new harness then there are good chances that a mistake may have been made in the headlight circuit. Definitely verify that you are getting a good low beam/high beam signal at the headlight connectors.
