No Headlights!

My problem started out a couple months ago with the right headlight putting out half of the normal brightness. Now I have no headlights both sides and the high beam indicator is on for both high and low beam positions. Bulbs are good and all 3 fuses have been checked. Does this sound like a bad switch or steering column high/low selector? I also have no flash to pass. All running lights work. Truck does not have DRL and does not have auto light feature. Anyone know where the ground source would be for this circuit?
Thanks for any help.

I would guess the multi-function switch on the steering column. Tough. Electrical stuff kinda sucks. You may have to do a trial and error thing by replacing it unless someone know exactly how to test that switch.

Another thing could be the wiring harness. You said that one light was dimmer than the other for awhile. that indicates, to me, that either there is a bad ground or a short in the wiring.

You may need to test continuity of the wiring harness for the lights and inspect/check all the grounds.

Do you have access to a wiring diagram?

BTW, you sig says 7.5L. I am assuming that it should say 7.3L or did you swap in a 460?

Found it...both light sockets were corroded and partially melted. Never seen anything like it. Both bulbs were stock 9007 bulbs...not high output. Fortunately, the local parts store had spare sockets with pigtails. Thanks.

Corrosion could be causing higher resistance and thus it gets hotter and melts. Perhaps you best take those sockets out again and plug them with dielectric grease.
