Factory built '65 Crew, Mich Assy Plant, GOV DSO
Just stumbled across this on Google Images, 1965 F250 2WD Crew Cab SWB Flareside, Data Plate shows Michigan Assembly Plant, GOVERNMENT DSO
Would have been a real powerhouse, with that 240 I-6 & 4:56 gears in the diff
1965 Ford Crew Cab 2x4
So, this confirms what I had been told by one fellow in WA state about there being some US built trucks, but had no prior evidence to support.....

1st 3 digits of the VIN and MODEL code do not decode to a Crew Cab or a Flareside/Styleside pickup.
It has a Flareside bed on it...now, but it's a different color than the rest of the truck, so it probably wasn't there originally.
Series code, 1st 3 digits of the VIN: F25 = F250 2WD // MODEL code: F250 = F250 2WD; 5,800 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
The wheelbase points to a Crew Cab, because no Regular Cab pickup came w/a 146" wheelbase.
Has a New Process 435 4 speed (N), Spicer/Dana 60 4.56-1 rear axle with Limited Slip (B5).
Early Crew Cabs were converted from Regular Cabs by Crown Coach, have exposed rear door hinges and different shaped upper rear door window frames.
Ford introduced their own converted version mid-year 1965.
This truck was also a Domestic Special Order, due to no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate and conversion to a Crew Cab.
