Excursion maintenance - Help me with paint tips in different area..
Plan on doing some paint work to my ex this summer and am looking for some tips on what product to use where.
I have almost no automotive painting experience but comparing to some of the work I have paid for in the past , i'm just as well off giving it a go.
I have tools and a big garage.. (sandblaster and paint gun)
Here is 1 of the areas I want to do .. What product do you recommend
I have searched for some stuff on-line but my head of spinning from too much info.. It would be nice if I could narrow it down to what product ot use where, with the help of you fellas.
Fender wells ..

I used U-POL Raptor Liner on the wells/under carriage. Its a 2 part system sprayed out of a supplied undercoating gun.
I used it to freshen up a lot of fender wells and rocker panels on my Excursions, seems to work ok. Just make sure to deal with any rust prior to the coating.

How did you clean ?
Blast to bare metal then apply ?
did you use any etch or edhesion promotor ?
Thanks

You can follow my build thread to see what I did. Sorry don't want to re-type everything over and over. basically I flap wheeled everything, treated it with rust converter, and applied the coating.
