NEW PROPORTIONING VALVE
I have a 79 f 250 sc that my son and I are putting back together for him,we need a proportioning valve. Anyone know where I can get one with the correct size fittings,All I can find is for the 1/2 tons and they have the wrong size fittings in them. Thanks for any help!!!!

1974/79 F250 2WD with 6900, 7500 & 8100 lbs. GVWR // 1974/78 F350 // 1979 F350 2WD // 1975/79 E250/350.
If your F250 has 4WD, it uses the same valve as 1975/79 F100/150, E100/150 & 1978/79 Bronco.

Sorry guys It is a 4x4 and thanks for you answers, I was looking at my truck for the comparison but I have a 60 up front with what appears to have larger brakes in it than than his 44. Is that correct? Caliper looks much larger. Number Dummy a special thanks to you your knowledge and resources are unmatched! I used to have a good friend much like you but alas we lost him to a brain aneurysm a few years ago. RIP Mick Anderson.

The standard inverted flare nut size for 3/16" tubing is 3/8"-24. You can get these individually from any parts store. Ford also used specialty sized 7/16"-24, 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18 inverted flare nuts for 3/16" diameter tubing. You can get these specialty sized flare nuts brand new from Classic Tube.
1. 7/16"-24 flare nut. Tube Nut 7/16-24 - SAE - Red

3. 9/16"-18 flare nut. Search results for: 'st8010'

You will find that its one valve that many distributors place their name on, but for the most part, they are identical for your make and model. Price is all over the map, but its the same piece...

Much thanks to everyone! Ordered one,Jake Harp you are most definitely correct! I got to looking at them and there all the same except price they ranged from 48.00 to 120.00 crazy. But again thanks for all you Help I do appreciate it
