power window issue

Hi All...I have a 94 F150, and about 3 years ago I converted the windows from manual to power. Got some used door panels from Craigslist that had all of the switches intact and bought new window motors. Also converted to power locks. Got the under dash wiring harness from the junkyard. It took me a little longer to swap all this stuff out and I don't know if I got tired, or lazy, or ran out of time, but I ended up just wiring the locks and windows directly to the battery. Now, every once in a while, the passenger window gets stuck in the down position, usually when it looks like its going to rain any second. To get it to work, I have to pull the door panel and hook the two wires going to the window motor directly to wires coming off of the battery, and that sort of jump starts it and then its fine for a while. there doesnt seem to be a pattern, it happens randomly. This truck is nowhere near a daily driver, so it doesnt bother me too much, but I would like to fix it if I could. Any advice is welcome!
