Well I've been slowly replace injectors finally just replaced them all. I've torqued all down to the 35ft-lbs or 31ft-lbs I can't remember. It what ever ford said. Well anyway started it up got it up to operating tempature drove it around then got on it. I have a performance tune on it from sct. But when I got on it and then let off it went to knocking terrible hard and smoking then it went boom and died. I didn't see anything come threw the block. But I'm looking to sell this truck and get another 6.0 just with less miles. I got 250,000 on this one and found a good low mile king ranch. So anybody have any ideas what's wrong with it. I would hate to sell it for parts cuz I'm not putting a motor in it. I have 48 volts on the ficm. I'll pull codes tomorrow.
Without a more detailed diagnosis with codes and whatever troubleshooting tree those take you down, we'll just be guessing. With the info provided, it could be anything from low fuel pressure to a hole in a piston.
Well pulled all the codes. Nothing to do with injectors got 4 glow plug codes. Started the truck no knock or anything but think my turbo is shot. It smoked a lot to when I started it. Also I believe my turbo is shot cuz it's spitting oil out the exhuast.
My exhaust is also real short let's out by the back door that's why the oil is so close to the cab.

I also had no miss im low fuel right now so I need to add some cuz it's get a studder when it's low on fuel. I just had a lot of whitish smoke but kind of a dirty white. I replaced all the injectors cuz I had 1 go out then 2 more then another one so I just replaced all of them so I wouldn't have to dig back in it. I noticed some play on the blade where the turbo takes in air there when I had the air box off looking at it spin when the psi dropped it would get a lot of play.
