6.0 sputtering/misfiring
I have a 2005 Ford F-250 6.0 . My truck has ran fine the whole time I’ve had it until out of no where my truck starts to sputter/misfire when cold. The truck will sputter and rpms will bounce once I go past 2000 rpms under heavy throttle. Until my ECT gets to about 180 and over and warmed up then it’ll stop. It only does it when the truck is running cold especially when it’s the first start of day. It began to get real frustrating even after changing the fuel filters out multiple times.

Stiction I believe is what you are feeling try maybe a synthetic 5w40 or some Archoil. You will need to have a uncompensated injector test done to find the opposing injectors. Have you checked for codes?

FICM or injectors. Test the FICM voltage, and change the oil and add Archoil 9100.

i use Shell Rotella T 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil I never really thought changing oil. I have a SCT livewire monitor and have no codes thrown.

The SCT isn’t a very good code reader. I think everyone that is on this forum and has a 99-18 truck needs to have FORScan and an elm adapter. Maybe someone you know has a reader you can use.
