That's all - I just really want cake-- Haven't had more then a tiny bite of cake for who knows how long. Don't even have the foggiest idea how long its been.

On Father's Day we visited a different church than normal. They were cooking and dispersing bacon in the lobby. Big thick cuts of bacon seasoned with some kind of sweet/salty/spicy seasoning that just made it perfect... I could eat it till it killed me... but die happy.

 

A church that gives out bacon!! I'll convert!

 

I am going back today to see if there is any bacon left over. I think they should offer bacon every week.

 

I still want cake :-(

Beef Jerky, if it was affordable would be the death of me.. I love jerky, but it is so high in sodium.

 

I had made my own 3 or 4 times now-- time to make some more

 

I've made a bunch of it in the past, but I can't control my portions with it. I realize now, looking back that it isn't one of those foods you should eat until you are full, just one that you savor and snack on.

They tell me that making jerky on a smoker is absolutely the best. Mine was just always on a food dehydrator.

 

It is the best!- I package mine in smaller portions then freeze it--- then when I eat a whole bag- I'm done- and the bag is smaller so I do not feel guilty.
