Carb question

I have a 66 m100 with a 240 6cylinder. I went looking for a carb rebuild kit for the autolite 1101a carb. I was told they need the number on the brass tag. My carb has no brass tag. According to my Chilton manual the tag number could one of many numbers. My question is are these different numbered carb all able to be used on my 240? Thank you . If so I will just give him one of the tag numbers from the manual.

I looked in my interchange manual and there are so many tag numbers it's remarkable. One thing about this book is sometimes it lists trucks separate and sometimes it lumps them in with Ford. Unfortunately it didn't separate trucks from cars in the carburetor section. So here goes, 6 cyl. 240 cu. in.- 65 to 69 with economy carb D0PZ-9510-N. Economy probably wasn't used on trucks. The regular carb for 65 to 67, D0PZ-9510-S.
Now I'm only going to type the tag numbers listed for 65-66 regular carburetor. There are a gazillion more but they all come back to that D0PZ-9510-S part number, C5AF-AF, C5AF-AG, C5AF-T, C5AF-U, C6AF-BL, C6AF-R, C6AF-S, C6PF-G. I hope this helps but I need to be clear that this book isn't a true parts book it just list parts that have been shown to work.

I had the same issue with mine, ended up getting 2 different ones, wish I could remember, but they were both pretty much the same, rebuilt it and I get 15-18 mpg all day long.

The D0PZ carbs were the FoMoCo "service part replacements" for the original 1965/69 I-6 carbs used on everything.

Is the OP's carb one of these replacements, or the original carb? If the original....

C8OZ-9A586-D .. Carburetor Kit (Motorcraft CT-207-A) / Obsolete

This kit replaced the original 1965/69 Auto-Lite carb kits used on 170/200/240/300 I-6's on cars/trucks.

Give the auto parts store this Motorcraft part number, can be crossed over to the brands they sell.
