Edge performance tells me the two can't be couple together. But that is not entirely true because I just bought a 96 F250 and it has a Hydra 6 position chip attached to the computer and they were using the edge CS2 to monitor the vitals. Unfortunately I unplug the tuner and when I went to plug it in it will not recognize the truck with the Hydra chip installed. The text over Edge performance tell me the two can't be paired together because the cs2 is a software "chip" and it's conflicting with the Hydra chip. I took the Hydra chip out and sure enough The Edge started working fine but the ads only has three tunes and they're not specified for my truck and upgrades. Has anybody found a workaround for this? I've seen threads on it but they are old or never got answered. I'm not going to buy all the pillar gauges so I'm afraid I might have to get rid of my Hydra chip because I don't feel safe not being able to see the vitals with the truck. Not going to run amthianybut stock without monitoring on anyways.
Glad I Found this forum. Good to be here
Oops. Didn't realize there was a powerstroke specific forum. Could somebody move the thread for me? 1996 7.3 diesel

Reason: Wrong forum?
I gotta agree, wrong forum. Might turn out to be an interesting thread. I'll look for it in the Powerstroke forum. If they don't move it, clip it and paste it. Start a new one in the other forum.
My CS2 is an evolution which why the tech I talked to said they could both couldn't be run. Obviously that is not true because I was running both of them. I tried to enter the VIN and it didn't recognize the truck. I guess the next thing I can try is to put the Hydra tuner into stock mode before trying the evolution?
It is an evolution. That was a typing mistake I corrected. It's a CS2 evolution that has custom tunes on it but I only want to use it for monitoring as said before.
I guess my hope is that somebody running and evolution or programmable Edge tuner and also running a chip can chime in and tell me the procedure to get them both working together.
Well I figured out how to get the gauges to work.
It was it was pretty simple really. I didn't know all the settings on the Hydra chip I had and until I read up on it was unaware that the 00 setting is stock. Just be sure that Hydra or PCM chip you have is in stock mode when you fire up the truck. The Edge tuner will give you some mornings and you have to hit the home button but then it'll give you the Diagnostics.
