Edge is good if your looking for something to read codes but if you want to have a little extra power, get yourself a TS style chip.

A TS chip is a pretty standard chip which can be tuned with 6 positions. What he and I said are the same thing. If your truck is stock, Edge and TS chip will be comparable as they will only bring you about 60 hp no matter if you put a 140 hp tune on the chip. Stock injectors are limiting. However if you plan to build, you can get the TS chip burned by custom tuners which will put their tunes on the chip and custom tune it for your truck. Which you can't do with the edge. So in the long run, the Chip will be a better investment.

Heres a link, check it out. Do some searching about edge products. You will realize chips are superior over programmers. http://ktperformance.net/catalog/pro...FSJ0gwodNDhUHA

i have a ts, stock, heavey tow, daily driver, ecomy, hi idial, hot. i got myn from beans and there tones getting live tunnes off dyno in a month or to, just depends on your mods, you need a down pipe, 6637 air, gagues are a must. the chips are only as bad *** as you can make them as long as you have mods 2 suport it, you put a chip on being stock we will see you back here with a thread truck wont run. look around at the guys on here and there mods and chips, you will not see many edge's but lots of tuned chips

you might think im crazy but i aint even got the truck yet im still looking around for the right one but im gonna get one lol im just finding out as much info before i do

the reason i liked the edge cuz it has several gauges you can choose from on the screen and its not all cluster ****ed but th door its was small and it had the injector reading to see if there all working properly

and my plan is probley going with stacks first then who knows what injectors or other mods in wat order im kinda on a money budget

Your first mods should be intake, exhaust, gauges, and then a chip. In that exact order. Then you can start worrying about injectors.

You can get everything you need from riffraff performance and injectors from rosewood diesel. For intakes alot of people use the 6337 from riffraff. Real cheap too. He has downpipes exhaust intakes and guages. For a chip any of the custom tuners are much better than edge. I like Dp-Tuner personally just because you can put 16 settings on it and I like the led switch better. Dp tuner tw swamps and php are all good tuners. Just personal preferences. Here's some links for you

like water getting into the intake. no there shouldnt be a problem, between your hood, the filter cover from riffraff and the filter itself the chance of water getting in seems kinda slim. unless its really covered in water.
