Lots of good info here. Like others have said, payload is the main limiting factor. We just upgraded from a 2015 F250 to a 2017 F350 dually for payload and stability. I see your in California like me. lots of restrictions and requirements in this state. You need a 5th wheel endorsement on your license just to tow a 5th wheel here. If your 5th wheel has a GVWR over 15,000 you'll need a non-commercial class A license.
