Driver's window should auto up (close) and down (open)... I've never seen a window that would auto only one direction unless broken..
Yours is an undocumented feature..
both have auto on them. that is why i am thinking the driver side of the switch is bad.
when i hit the passenger side i can sorta feel a detent in the down side, but i do not feel it in the driver side switch.
i had to replace the overhead dimmer switch too because the interior lights would not turn off. dealer said they never sold one and suggested there was another problem, but i replaced the switch and the lights turned off.
gonna have to do some investigating because the part number on the switch is different than all the numbers shown.
switch i have is CC3T-14540-AAW, which does not cross over to any other part number
The number on the switch is NOT the part number. It is a Ford Engineering number. It traces back to a drawing maintained by a division of Ford, such as Galaxie, Truk, Mustang, etc. Many people make this mistake.
The part number of the switch you need appears to be CC3Z-14529-AA.
