I have a 93 E150 conversion van wither power locks. The door lock as soon as the engine starts. My question is, do I have a "memory lock module"? If so where is it located? I wan to install a remote unlock button but need to find the relay. I have ALLDATA subscription so I have electrical prints, but still can't find any location.

 

How long have you owned this van? Has this automatic door locking occurred the whole time you've owned it? Does it have key fobs for remote door unlocking? Photos of those?

 

Just bought it. No key fobs. Does it every time. Bought it from a dealer.

 

Then you'll have to dig into what the original build incorporated, specifically the RKE feature (remote keyless entry). From your description that's not what's causing your doors to lock with key on. My guess is there's an aftermarket alarm that has been enabled to cause the factory PDL's to work as you describe.

I have an "old school" alarm with that same feature which can be disabled. Sounds like your situation but without a remote its tough to know.
