Hi all, I just bought a clutch for my truck and would like to do some preventive maintenance on the tranny while the clutch is out. I have heard about a input shaft repair kit, and a bushing that one of the members on here makes. My tranny has 300k on it so I think I’ll be needing that kit but will it work with a factory style flywheel and the input shaft repair kit? Also I have read about a tube for the valley drain and have a couple of questions on that. If anyone could steer me in the right direction that would be great. Or if anyone had other recommendations on what to do that would be good too.
The original repair kit that works with the stock flywheel is called FITZALL. On ebay for 50 bucks...SkySkiJason makes a bushing in place of the fitzall input bearing but has yet to come forth with the steel sleeve for the shaft..as of now, you can just get the kit or kit and his bushing for a purdy much permanent fix...ive been thru 2 kits and now have his (prototype) kit😈

I tried to message him but it says his inbox is full, I’m not in a rush to have the bushing as I won’t be able to install my clutch until next week but if i have to I guess I could machine a bushing but that involves me driving 45 minutes to get access to machines. I’d rather pay lol. But with that ebay kit all I need to do is press the sleeve over the input shaft correct?

the kit comes with a tool to "hammer" the sleeve on..my input bearing from the kit lasted a few years/100k
thanks I may have some at home saves me some money
The 90* fitting is loose in the hole in the back of the valley. I just siliconed around it to seal it but I often wondered if you could swedge a piece of the 1/2” tubing to make a better seal.

I’ll try a couple things when I do my clutch and see what I get as the result
So i was backing into my driveway and the tranny did something I’ve never felt before, when I was releasing the clutch it felt like it didn’t grab right and bucked the truck. Anyone have an idea what that could be?
