I have a very similar shift handle that I installed on my truck 4 years ago because the ball handle drove me nuts. I really like the hurst style shift handle and think it looks great too.
As for the shudder, you mentioned above that the shudder happens when you are letting off the clutch pedal. Is this the only time the shudder happens or does it happen when you are completely off the clutch pedal and moving as well?
It could be a hot spot or high friction point on the flywheel, but hard to say at this point.
If you're wanting to go with an Impregnated bronze bushing, grab Dorman #690-039 - I installed two of them when I put my Southbend in (two fit in the flywheel). IIRC I paid maybe $10 for both of them?

Yeah I love the shifter, but it only does it once and a while only in reverse and only when the clutch is slightly out not even 1/2 way
