So after out last camping trip and noticing a little more squat that I desired from the rear of the Ex I decided to adjust my Roadmaster RAS to the higher setting, which I think they say is 40% increase in load capacity. Of course doing that raised the rear of the truck quite a bit also. I now basically have 2" of difference between the rear and the front of the truck when I measure the gap between the wheel arch and the top of the tire. My question is does anyone have experience with a front leveling kit for a 2WD ex? Here is one I found on Amazon and am wondering if anyone has experience with this specific kit.
No experience with those coil spacer on an Ex but I have used them on other coils spring front ends.
specific to the Ex your challenge is always going to be to the ball joints, when you lift the front with spacers or longer coils you max out the ball joints. If you can get it properly aligned then your problem becomes rate of wear on the ball joints.
if it weren’t mine I would take the RAS off, pull out one rear leaf and add air bags.
pulling the bottom spring will give you a lower spring rate which will lower the rear ride height. With no air in your new bags it should sit almost level. When you tow inflate the bags to increase the rear spring rate and keep it level.
