Leveling Kit Advice 2008 F150

Hi, I have a 2008 F150 super crew 4x4 60th anniversary edition. I’d like to put a leveling kit on it to bring up the front end. I was thinking 2.5 inches. I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be any negative side effects of doing this, ie more wear on joints, voided warranty etc??? Also, a buddy mentioned the rear end will squat more under load, like with an ATV in the back. What can be done to keep’er stiff in the back end without negatively effecting wear, ride, or warranty? I’d like a few suggestions on this with manufacturer names that make kits. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

I personally have a 2wd and added a 3" Pro comp level kit..looks great..ride is no different but I can feel the height difference when in the truck. I've heard great things about AutoSpring but I went with the 3" because I wanted the front to be slightly higher than the back. Don't know about load squatting cause I don't haul stuff. As for the wear on the truck, I've heard it doesn't do much wear compared to a lift. Hope that helps.

I put a autospring kit on my '05 and I'm happy with it. I got the 1.5" kit because I tow/haul alot and still wanted some rake. I ended up getting 2" of lift out of it, but the rear is still about an 1" higher than the front so the rear doesn't usually sag with the loads I haul. They say the ball joints will wear a little quicker, but I have 21,000 on my truck since installing the lift and have had zero problems. There are also alot of people on here that have more miles with their kits than I do and they haven't had any problems either. On most people's trucks the 2" will level the truck almost perfect and the 2.5" will give the truck a slight nose high look. Also, after installing the kit make sure you get an alignment done because it will be off just enough to cause the tires to wear wrong.

What I would do is install the 2.5 kit and the for about another $150-$200 you should be able to install an add-a-leaf spring on the rear. This would keep the rear up just a bit and add addition load capacity to help with the rear sagging issue.

I tried this on my truck but the only reason it didn't get done is because my shop ordered the wrong spring and then found a set of 1" blocks for my truck leftover from another install so they popped them in for free. I still wish I had the add-a-leaf because I am quit often loading the rear and towing a trailer.

I installed the Auto Spring 2" leveling kit yesterday and had a front end alignment today. The kit was easy to install and took about 3hrs. Instructions are very easy to follow and the spacers are made very well. i would highly recommend them! They only cost $69.99 and that included shipping. Good Luck! Hope this helped

lift

I have a 07 f150 supercrew 4x4 lariet. I bought a lift/leveling kit from fat bobs garage worked like a dream 3" lift in the front and a 1.5" lift in the rear( I also cut a plate to install in the rear for a little more lift, dont like the look of a truck lower in the back) Front was a strut spacer and the rear was add a leaf with u bolts, paid under $200 for it, the only down fall is you need to do an alignment and I wore out a set of upper ball joints( 55,000km) to the tune of $800 bucks. All the truck sees is pavement "no off road" the upside is the set of 35x12.5x 18 tires and rims, no rubbing after some front cowl trimming (not even noticable).

Yeah you have to do the alignment or you will mess some things up but other then that these kits are designed to not affect any other part of the truck.
