Question. I have a 03 f250 2w drive v10, will my 2w engine swap and bolt directly into a 2000 f250 v10 4w drive? Everything on the 00 4w drive Is working but it has a blown motor

Reason: Edit
What about the transmissions? Should I hold on to my 2w drive transmission. Will i need to make any modifications to make it work if and when the 4w transmission goes out
To use a two wheel drive trans in a four wheel drive truck you need to change the output shaft and the rear extension housing. Those are the only two differences.
The extension housing simply unbolts off the back of the trans and the new one is bolted on. The output shaft is a little more involved. You need to take EVERYTHING out of the transmission, install the 4x4 shaft, and then put the transmission back together.
