In theory (lol theorem), but interested if anyone here has taken the time to measure (not trivial) and calculate, or jut go by ‘feel’.

I can measure my stock track bar and measure my longer adjustable from hole to hole and based off fender to hub distance give you a decent estimation.

if A is the distance between the axle and the frame and B is the distance between the the center of the leaf springs the problem becomes exactly where to measure and how to measure each accurate to 1/32

The A measurement would either need to account for the point on the axle that intercects the track bar mount and the point on the frame the the track bar mounts since both of these are the piviot point. Also you would need to verify both sides were sitting perfectly level.

No easy or relible way to get those measurement, so the “formula” I was suggesting would take that into account but measuring from the hub to wheel well.

I measure, going by feel assumes you can accurately eyeball the axle being centered. My eyecrometer is not that precise.

The height will change. The base of the triangle formed by the track bar and the axle will stay the same. In theory you should be able to measure the distance (height) from the axle to the track bar mount before you make any changes and measure it again after you install the new springs. Using a^2 + b^2 = c^2, you should be able to calculate the exact length needed for the new track bar to return the axle to it's stock position. Does anyone actually do all this? Probably not. The guy at the alignment shop said another half turn on the adjusting sleeve would have made mine perfect but it bottomed out. He said it was good enough and I don't know enough about alignments to say otherwise.
