I have a 04 Lariat with illuminated mirror visors and I just reupholstered them bc I’m completely changing the interior of truck and it was the most major pain in the butt I’ve done so far. It was easier to completely strip the interior than it was to recover two visitors. The newer f150’s 2012 or around that year have visors that can be disassembled but the 04-08 visors are not. I had to cut the plastic and cut wires and plastic weld everything back together and they came out looking great but the wires for lights broke when pulling them through the rod that connects to the plastic mount that mount on the head board and I do not feel like tearing all that crap apart to do it over again. I’m going to have to sew some new covers and I’m not worried about that bc even though it will be the 2nd time ive ever sewed its the easy part. Does anyone have any experience with or know someone that has swapped the 04-08 sun visors to new style? Or if it’s even possible?
