I installed my ReadyLift 2.5" leveling kit today and I had already replaced the factory shocks with Fox 2.0's (about a year ago). And when I installed the kit, I chose not to install the longer shock mounts. . The truck now rides like a car, no kidding. Even the wife commented on the improvement on roads that would knock us around prior. By allowing the Fox shock's piston to settle/ride in the center of the damper tube (instead of the top third), I truly think this is the reason for the improvement.

Did you have the wrong shocks off the bat? Maybe you have the 2.5" lift versions?

Those are my thoughts too, because when I installed them (Fox) there was only about 3" of the chrome rod visible and the ride was not that much better than stock. But now you can clearly see more rod exposed, assuming thats normal and the piston is "in the oil" where it should be.
I bought the Fox shock when all of us were, so maybe I got the wrong ones, idk.......sure loving it now. The rear shocks look normal, but I always questioned the fronts.

it was constantly bottoming out is what it sounds like. surprised those shocks didn't blow out.

Why do you say that, it never bottomed out in my opinion. The piston was always at the top of the reservoir and I don't think it was ever in the hydraulic fluid. Truck is only street driven.
