I swear I had seen a post here about the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks, but cant find it in the search.
I have airbags on my F350 crew 2wd and was considering the 2" ride leveling kit, but I also need front shocks and thought I had heard the adjustible 5100's would give me the 2" also so figured I'd kill 2 birds with with 1 cheaper stone. All the websites seem to be giving the run around and I aint got time to wait around on the phone right now so thought I'd ask y'all, thanks for any responses.
Bilstein 5100's are not adjustable, neither are their HD's or any other that i know of. Shocks will also not provide you with "ANY" lift.
The term adjustable shock, refers to their ride comfort only and are to be set according to the type of terrain your using it on. Example- on or off road etc..
Again, Bilsteins are not adjustable. If you are adding a lift or leveling kit, the 5100 series shocks are for "lifted" trucks only. The HD series is for stock height trucks.
I believe that bilstein makes a kit that comes with taller coils and a set of front 5100's . The kit is for a superduty F250/F350 4X4, and raises the front 2.25 incheeesssss. Rear shocks are extra. This system is called BTS System, Part# SE5-C765-H0. The rear part # BE5-C336-H0. This is for 2005 and up. See top of page 17 or page 19. The link below is to their OFF ROAD CATALOG. I can never get the links to work so you might have to cut and paste.
Bilstein does make an adjustable 5100 shock buts its for a F150.
Hope this helps.
