Ignition problems...

I got a 97 f250 powerstroke with the 5spd. I can't start the truck through the key, a mechanic put on a push button start. No clicking or noise when I turn to cranking. I've replaced the parts from the steering wheel to the fender starter relay. Anyone else experience this or have a fix?

Well of you have done the column wiring and underhood wiring, did you replace the clutch switch? That can cause a no start as well.

it could be a bad clutch safety switch, bad clutch pedal bushing, bad ignition switch, bad ignition actuator, ignition switch out of alignment to name a few issues that would cause it not to start with the key. anyone that would put in a push button as a "repair" is not a mechanic.

Hardscrabble, thanks for the link and pics. Edit, I've pulled the ignition switch before, nothing appeared burnt or distorted...I'll try the continuity test later today.

Update. Swapping out the clutch interrupter switch didn't do anything. Trying to Ohm my way around didn't result in any issues unless I did that wrong.
Thought I'd update this to close this page, I don't like see them questions with no answers or fixes. Thanks for the help folks.
