New guy here....I am having trouble locating the CIS on my 1990 f250 4X4? I pulled the panel off under the steering wheel and shined a light up there and could not find any kind of switch...all is see it the arm, the bumpers for when it is pressed and when it comes back, and the spring that pulls it back...description of location or diagram? Thanks a bunch!
Pickup is not starting, at ignition, but it does when I jump the solenoid...what is the easiest way to rule out the Clutch interlock safety or the ignition?
You can jump the clutch switch and if it still won't start, pull the ignition switch off the top of the steering column and move it manually with a screwdriver. If it starts this way, I suspect your ignition acutator is broken and so it's not pressing the rod down far enough to activate the ignition switch all the way.

Sorry, but I do not know how to jump the clutch switch? Could you please explain? Thanks
Ford used a jumper on automatic transmission equipped trucks so that the wiring harness would be the same. If you can locate one of those, you just plug it in place of your clutch switch. Otherwise you gotta use a jumper wire as the linked thread suggests.
