Finally after getting the full exhaust,Tymar Intake and full Autometer phantom guages My Edge Evolution tuner from BD showed up....WOW is what I can say...I wasnt looking for monster power, just towing power and something to firm up the shifts...I love the firmer shifts and how fast the TQ lock ups..now I doubt I will do the sonnax mod.... "WAY" better than the SCMT 1705 I was using...great power even on the tow safe mode...and EGT's seem fine...I'll have more stats when I hook up the 5th wheel...so for now Im happy with it...seems like a very quality piece and very easy to use...I purchased it from BD it has there X POWER programming..deceided to go with the BD programming version because of buddies of mine using there X power chips with great success and low EGT's
Looks like lower HP than the Superchips MT 1705. I leave the 90HO setting in mine, unless it cold outside then I run the 110HP setting. I ran sensors to the turbo and manifold, and I just plug in my digital meter to measure the EGTs. I do not tow anything, and the EGTs stay below 750.
Try towing some real weight like my 12,000 lb 5th wheel...Then you will see EGT's come into play....I liked my SCMT....but this has the same seat of the pants power and way better transmission programming.....both are good units....mine was the older 60 & 80 hp SCMT......so those of you thinking about the Evolution....Im very happy with the purchace...I picked it up for 370.00
I have a modified 1993 SuperDuty diesel for towing, the only mods are an ATS turbo, a 5 speed transmission and an exhaust that was part of the turbo mod. No chips or programmers. It will pass and cruise around 80 MPH pulling 10K - 11K pounds without any problems. Well, one problem is SEATS, I have replaced them 4 times from wear and tears.
I use my 2002 F350 for pleasure and traveling without a load.
keep us posted, I have the early SCMT as well and I tow about 1/2 of the weight that you do, although I have still gotten the temps up to ~1300 degree mark...

I was curious what the version code is on the silver sticker on the back of the Evolution was. My truck was used in the beta testing and I wanted to know what version you are running. Thanks.

Can you adjust/delete the tranny programming ?
Ya my SCMT on the 80 hp mode would run very high EGT's towing but the tow safe 60 hp was much better.....as far as adjust or deleting trans programming I do not know....try contacting EDGE
