E150 MLPS Replacement Problems
So First time post:
Replaced the MLPS on my 1994 E150 Explorer Conversion Van (351 w/E40D). This vehicle still had the original, unmodified, pre-1995 connector (despite having the transmission replaced previously) so I replaced the connector according to instructions.
After replament the vehicle only only starts in Neutral. KOEO gives a 654 code(vehicle not in Park). I removed the shift cable from the MLPS and ensured it was securely in the Park position and still get the 654 and no-start condition.
Also- no reverse lights. Other than that transmission runs normally and the “shift into neutral” condition that prompted the replament has been resolved.
I've ordered a replacement MLPS under warranty, however the no reverse light makes me question the pin-outs on the connector. I swapped pin for pin, but it doesn’t match what I see from other models with the E40D.
Can anyone provide a correct pinout for the MLPS on 1994 E150 with E40D? Troubleshooting help appreciated!

Thanks for the info. Each different vehicle has a variation in the pinout(or the wire colors).
Im looking for a document specific to address the 94 E150....there used to be fleets of these vans...where’s the good ol’wiring diagram!?
