1988 F-150 4x4 351w Okay here is a really strange problem that just started. After my truck has been running for awhile, Mostly on the highway, My truck stalls out making right hand turns. Not left hand just right hand turns and coming down off ramps that turn to the right. it does it on a full tank aswell a a near empty tank. I just got done replacing the EGR vale And sensor. truck still stumbles alittle after it gets hot but not as bad. replaced broken vacumn hose on the EGR. need to replaced vacumn mod. next
Any Ideas?
I'm having the same problem and just today, when it stalled, it cranked over very slowly then after about a minute it cranked over normally and started. It has a new battery.
No new codes. I erased the codes, ran the truck on the highway for awhile and rechecked the codes and am still coming up with a error 33. EGR valve not opening. Didn't stall this time. Only seems to hesitate and stall when it is warmer out.
i'd make sure your tab solonoids are opening and letting vacuum get to your EGR valve..if not then it won't open...but that still shouldn't make your truck stall on right turns for that matter. maybe a loose connection on the ignition switch? i've seen that before...maybe do a wiggle test with a scanner se if you can come up with anything. goodluck!
It is your coil. Let me geuss the thing runs fine when cold soon as the motar gets hot the thing dies once it cools for like 45 min. it will start right back up. See what happens is the wire inside the coil expand when the resine that holds them together heats up causing a breake in the circuit when the resin cools it shrinks back down closing the gap and presto a closed curcuit. Coils are fairly cheap and If you can not remember the last time you changed it out you should change it anyways.
