Hi all, I have a 92 F-150 302 wE4OD I just put a remaned long block in it and all was going fine for about 200 miles. I started getting the check engine light and the truck will die on decelleration. I checked for codes and got 334 and 337. Egr closed votage higher than expected & EVP circuit above max voltage. A friend told me to check my vac lines and I did. They all looked ok and I could not hear a leak. I looked in my service manual and can't find anything on these codes. Anybody got any ideas.
See this page for info on the codes and the parts they refer to.. Ford Fuel Injection
Thse codes make it sound like the EGR valve is stuck open and that will cause various problems including stumbling and pinging, so I suggest you remove the valve and verify it is closing and sealing, that the EGR tube is intact, and that the EGR position sensor(EVP) is within range.
