I just watched the Ford Tech Maculoco video and followed his example. He basically only opened the fill, sucked out fluid and refilled- seems more than adequate for my needs.
Went to my drill and tap chart.
Drilled a hole in the bottom of the diff housing the same size as needed to tap hole to a 1/8 pipe threads.
Let the oil push the filings out during the drain.
Tap the hole to 1/8 pipe thread.
Install 1/8 pipe plug

i like it. Does it matter what material the plug is?
is there room to just use a small magnetic drain plug?
The housing is aluminum.
it was very easy to tap.
You would have to look around for a 1/8 pipe plug with a magnet attached.
I just used what I had on hand
Epoxy one on?
Drill out the pipe plug a bit and then epoxy?
