I got 'X' codes for the front. Yes I know they are not the same as Ford's 'X' code. Their weight capacity is a little above the stock Ford 'V' code and that's what I wanted (firmer without being rough).
I've had the fronts on for a few years now and am very happy with them. So much so that I bought a set for the rear (special order) last year and are sitting in the garage waiting to go on when I have the time since I'm still trying to dial everything in from my injector work.
I'm also going to install the OUO traction bars sitting next to them in the garage when I install the springs.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that's where they were. I got about 206K on my truck and I'm looking at a lot of things to change out to keep it another 200K plus. Been looking for a good upholstery shop local to do my front seats. Would like foam and all. Hate to go to texas and then do this myself. Never done this before. Don't mind the motor work, but yes I am getting lazier every day. I just don't seem to have it in me anymore. I guess age and health has a lot to do with it. Waiting for my smog this year before I change turbo's also. Haven't got it in the mail yet. Do this sept. I believe.

I did my front seat a couple of years ago with stuff from The Seat Shop. Top notch and a perfect fit. Took a few hours and it looks great. You wouldn't know it's aftermarket, it looks completely OEM. They have a full leather option now along with the OEM style leather inserts.
Don't know what your smog inspection requirements are up there, but down here you roll the dice if you don't have GARRETT stamped on the housing.

I'm running the cheap one from Napa, but have less than half a year on it. OK so far.
I installed the GPR-109. Book calls for the GPR-110 at more (double to triple) cost. The apparent difference is that the 109 connections are clocked 90 degrees from the stock replacement. Also, one is brown and the other is black. Supposedly the same internals and the wires do reach the right terminals.

I would of put a KC38R on already but after reading yours, I'll wait. Hydro Man 17, I'm down in the riverside county area. The town of Norco is a horse community where most people have horses. Lot of horse trails and all. That's the wifes thing. She hasn't been able to ride in years now because of health issues but we still have one horse. She just got out of surgery about an hour ago, hope this helps her.

You can ask your smog shop what they'll allow on the visual but there's no guarantee next time around it will fly. I just had that happen with my wastegate controller. They were cool with it 2 years ago (even talked with them first) but it was a no-go this time around. Not happy to drop $400-ish to put everything back (diaphragm wastegate controller, red/green lines, solenoid, etc.) but I did pass with single shots, FRx, no EBPV, no AIH, and a Hydra. The inspector I had cared a lot about under the hood (spent about 15 minutes rooting around with his LED flashlight) and not so much in the cab (didn't see the Hydra cable coming out of the PCM box). Air and vacuum lines are becoming a bigger deal (specifically spelled out in the BAR inspection procedure) so I had to have them and they had to be hooked up too.

I just thought I'd wait till I got my renewal notice. It's due in September. Should get it next month. I'm pretty sure the vacuum lines are in the new hose. My guy is pretty good, just don't want to temp faith. We might be gone next time. Depends on the wife's health. She's looking in Idaho so we'll see. Turbo should be part of the intake but they don't see it that way.
