Replacement clutch reccomendations

Howdy. I'm using a '91 F150 with the M5R2 transmission as a donor truck for a 1949 F3, mostly just robbing the wiring and the majority of the running gear. And i figure while i got the motor out, may as well do the clutch. However I don't know much about clutches, this build is my first manual car i've really worked on in any significant way, and i'd just like to run my choice in clutch by people who know better than i do.

https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...4-1k/overview/

This is the clutch that seems most fitting to me. Ain't got a pile of money to spend, and i just want something that matches the OEM clutch. Nothing special, no modification. Just bolt in and renew. Local ford dealer doesn't carry anything for these trucks, and the local parts stores were both at least 150 bucks more expensive than the summit unit. And rather than be the blunt idiot that buys things blindly, i figure i'd run it by here to see if i'm making any kind of grand mistake. And if so, if anyone has any recommended replacement units i should get.

so yeah, there we go. Thanks.

I have always used LUK clutches and never had a problem. The one time I bought one from Advanced (not LUK) it failed in about a week so I have not strayed since.

I used LUK-07-128 and have no complaints. It's cheaper on Summit than at Advanced.

You may want to replace the slave cylinder while you're in there / as budget allows. I used ZZZ-360016 from Summit, and again, no complaints. Interestingly, that slave cylinder is available from Advanced under the Technovation brand for about $45, which is slightly cheaper than the same slave cylinder under the Zoom brand on Summit. With a 20% coupon for Advanced you could save a nice chunk buying locally.

I went with LUK as well and have no complaints. I also replaced the slave, master, flywheel, pilot bearing, and rear main seal at the same time.
