4.9 EFI anybody replaced their EGR tube and valve?
Had to remove my eye tube to do my lower intake gasket. The whole thing was completely rusted solid at the joints. Had to remove tube with the valve on it. There was absolutely no way to get the valve loosened and only after days of pb blasting and cussing I was able to get the tube off of the exhaust. Even off yhe engine I can't fathom how to loosen it with the tools I have.
So i got a new tube and set from rockauto. Everything seems to be of the same size to the naked eye. I haven't been able to install it propeely though. I'd I attach the tube to the valve before assembly I cant line up the two holes on the intake.manifold. if I attach the valve to the manifold and then try connecting the tube I can either get it connected to the valve or to the exhaust not both. I am off about half a cm.if even that. I've tried my hardest to get it to budge in place but it won't budge. I feel if it ends up bending it won't bend as intended and ill be worse off.
I'm going to go at it again tomorrow morning and most likely spend the better part of the day on it.
anybody that did it have any tips or suggestions how to tackle this?

I replaced my tube, but not the valve. I cut the tube off on the end that connects to the exhaust, then used an impact to zip the remains off. The valve came off the tube using a wrench in a vise. I removed it from the intake manifold first.
The new EGR tube was a dorman brand and it did not quite line up. I had to bend it a decent amount to get things to line up. It took several test fits before it was good. Once I got it close enough, I left everything loose until all fasteners were engaging, then tightened everything starting with the valve, then the exhaust end.
