It the EGR tube from the valve to the exhaust manifold two pieces? I chenged my EGR valve today and the nut came off easy. I didnt' band anything but I noticed once it was off that the tube it two pieces that losely fit together with a sleeve on the tube.
that stovepipe tube for the EGR from the manifold to the bottom of the EGR valve assembly is a one piece affair....it does have
bellow ruffling close to the top to help with dampening vibrations...if it is two pieces, then it is broken...
the tube also comes with a woven thermal sleeve of a sort...
EGR tube- that's my Q? For a 96 is it one piece? Also, how expensive? 9 years with original. I have noticed a raw exhuast smell ever since I did my headers. I understand that the EGR tube may NOT be the culprit but something else?
We broke my EGR tube when we did my headers and being the 351 the 5.0 tube from the yard was incombatible. So, I had to go to the dealer and $56.13 later I had a new EGR tube.
