351w broken egr tube
The guy we bought the engine from said one of the manifold had a crack, but I couldn't seem to ever find it. Today when I un bolted the egr valve from the plenum the whole tube came off with it. It is broke right before the ribbed section near the bottom. Does anybody have a quick fix for this? I don't want to replace the whole tube because it seems the bottom of the tube is seized to the manifold. Thanks,

If you want to fix it and have a functional EGR system that tube has got to come out of the manifold, then it could be replaced with another steel or copper tube. To help that put a torch on the connector at the manifold and then try working it lose.
If you don't need a truely functional EGR for emissions purposes you can leave the tube off but the system has to be plugged at both ends, you can't have an exhaust leak so put a pipe plug in it, and you can't let fresh air into the intake either so cut a piece of sheetmetal and sandwich it between the valve and intake. Leave the EGR valve connected to vacuum though so it goes through the motions, that will keep the computer happy.

You may be able to find a slightly larger tube and sleeve it over the original one, but I can't see any good way to weld it up so it doesn't leak without removing both halves of the tub first.
Someone posted a video link on here recently that shows someone who sleeved the tube.
