So, last night I had a fellow tell me I was way under in my price for the doors off of my crew cab. He said they are easily worth almost $300 a door!? I find that hard to believe. What do you all think these doors are worth?
Just bought a tailgate off a guy whose truck caught on fire sitting in a shed.
I curious as to all the reasons this truck and any Ford truck from our era can possibly catch fire.
There was a switch on the master cylinder problem and an alternator problem if I'm not mistaken, but there may be others.
That said, I paid $125.00 for two nice crew cab rear doors off a 1988 F-350 that included an "air over" engine oil cooler with lines, but buying used at a junkyard or on E-Bay is not the same.
Yards here want 500+ per door complete with glass and door panel.
Mine won't have the glass or door panels. Only the regulators, motors, and doors themselves. Still...$500...I would have never thought that much. Wow...
Up here in the rust belt, I have to sit on CLEAN, rust free crewcab doors for $200 each in order to sell them.
You in the south, probably have very little rust uses So I am sure they are less desirable, there for less valuable.
Also, you are NOT a salvage yard so you really cant get what they do for parts
