Need help identifying rear end

The honeymoon still isn't over with my 66 Econoline. The original motor is long gone, replaced by a 300 ci straight 6. I'm told that it's from an '83 F150. I need your help identifying the rear end because I'm not going to assume that it came from the same truck. Check out the frontside and backside pictures, as well as the tag on the differential. I need to identify the rear so I can identify the drums. I'm pretty green and maybe I'm overthinking this. Maybe there's some identifying numbers or something on the drums themselves, or the shoes, or maybe I just need to take some measurements. I'm starting fresh, replacing all drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, flexible brake lines and master cylinder. Parking brake being addressed as well. Any guidance is much appreciated.

It's a Ford 9" but the pic of the ID tag is too dirty to read. Either clean the tag then post a better pic of it, or type the info.

Will try to get better image of tag.

When I first looked at the tag on the differential, I couldn't read anything - the numbers started to appear after rubbing awhile with a dry rag. From what I can see, The top line consists of "R-S" Directly below is "00 68A 783". There may be a digit before the top, and/or the bottom line. I'll try applying some solvent and rub it in to see if the identifying digits appear better. Thanks!

Let's take another look

Looks like top line: CR-S1 and the lower line: 3 0C 6BA 783. Need help so I can identify what drums and shoes go with this rear. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

WCR-S1 = Ford 9" rear axle with 8 3/4" ring gear; 3.00-1; 2,700 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity // 6BA = Assembled the 1st week (A) of February (B) 1966 (6).

As original: Front/rear drum brakes: 10" x 2 1/2."

That could be the rear axle that came with the van. The 300 is an easy swap for the 240 engine that probably came in the van.

details about the axle and brake parts are here.
