1999 F150 RWD - Rear Drum Brake Shoe Thickness

Hi Group -
I'm looking for a read on the thickness of my rear brake shoes. They seem to have life left in them.

This vehicle gets less than 1k miles per year on it, so barely used. I'm thinking I will clean, put it back together and adjust. Agree?

I'd say you have 5 to 10 years left in those....

I would recommend bleeding the brakes yearly though. Moisture does accumulate in the wheel cylinders and you'll spring a leak because of it eventually.

Thanks, I probably do. :-)

Truck brakes much better now that I've adjusted them. I will bleed all four corners to improve things further.
