I called Ford Marketing as recommended by ford390gashog and was told that once the PCO is locked in even if you receive the truck after it expires it the PCO is still honored. I may call again today to see if I get the same answer from a different person.

That is correct. Once locked in. Both my 2017 and 2019 were expired by delivery date but honored because they were locked in.

Can you substitute for a higher PCO down the road on an order that takes a couple of months to be built? I have a 2k PCO now. Going to order a 2021 soon. It will be November at best before I have a truck from what I have seen.

If you locked in a PCO when you ordered, you can choose to keep it or use any new PCO at delivery time. If you do that, and you had incentives, you lose them but gain any new ones at delivery.

This has me a little spooked. I've got a special order (green window sticker) and a PCO that I told them I had when I ordered. Their advice was that we wait and see if incentives get better by delivery before we lock it in. According to the previous post, a special order needs to have the PCO locked in at time of order. Really hoping I don't lose out on this extra $2000 off.

You won’t. What they mean is when the order shows up you will get whichever incentive (at order or arrival) is better. They should lock in the pco (seperate additional offer) if you fear your truck won’t arrive prior to the expiration.

Might be worth checking with the dealer if they entered your PCO in and applied the "incentive protection" already.

I am just going by what I was told by a couple of area dealers. Check with your dealer for what they can do. The dealer can always choose to honor the PCO for you and take up the claim with Ford.

Well, the dealer sent me the VIN for my 2020 order truck today. Time to get serious about trying to
score a PCO, any help is appreciated! Figure I’ll take delivery sometime in October or November.

thanks!

Wow, what a turnaround time. I've heard it can takes weeks to a month for Ford to accept it. I asked my dealer when I'd be able to get the VIN and they told me it wasn't until the truck went into production, which as they explained was about a week from delivery. Something tells me that's not accurate.
